Anand Agricultural University has established an Agri & Food Business Incubation Centre on campus.
The Agri. & Food Business Incubator, AAU has eight different pilot plants fully equipped with the latest agro and food processing machinery along with a State-of-Art NABL accredited Food Quality Testing Laboratory. The Agri. & Food Business Incubator, AAU was inaugurated by the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi on September 30, 2018.
The university has all the required expertise through a pool of scientists in all the sub-sectors of agriculture and Agri. & food business.
The Agri. & Food Business Incubator, AAU of the university is equipped with the necessary technical items required for operating the incubation center. The main strength is the availability of modern pilot plants. The Incubation Centre has already obtained FSSAI license for manufacturing, retailing, and relabelling different food products.
The physical infrastructure in the form of seminar rooms, classrooms, auditoriums, hostels, guest houses, workshops, etc. with all the necessary facilities is fully functional and available with the Agri. & Food Business Incubator, AAU.
The incubator center is being funded and caters to various state and national projects such as RKVY RAFTAAR Agri-Business Incubator (R-ABI), State Nodal Institute for Startup, Student Start-up, and Innovation Policy.
